Saturn Observations: 2005
Saturn February 12, 2005 0340 UT, 6" refractor f/8, 120x and 200X MV-1 and #15 filters ,thin high haze with steady ripple, occasional good sharp detail but average seeing. Equatorial belt mottled in appearance, polar hood dark, ring details easy. Seeing 4/5, Transparency 3/5
Saturn February 23, 2005 0430 UT, 6" refractor f/8, 200x, afocal with Olympus D520 digital camera.
Saturn February 23, 2005 0450 UT, 6" refractor f/8, 120x, 150X and 200X MV-1 and #15 filters ,high haze with steady air with hardly a ripple, best sharp detail at 150X (8mm plossl) Satellites sharp and pinpoint except for Titan which shows larger. Equatorial belt, temperate belt and polar hood details easily seen. Seeing 4/5, Transparency 4/5
Saturn February 24, 2005 0455 UT, 6" refractor f/8, 120x and 200X MV-1 and #15 filters. Clear night but turbulent air. Seeing 3/5, Transparency 3 - 4/5

Left 1/2 sec at iso 400, right 1/4 sec at iso 400, images shot in single frame tiff format.

Saturn April 11, 2005 0330 UT, Olympus C-740 digital camera afocal at 100X, 10X zoom, iso 400 1/2 sec, MV-1 filter, stack of 8 in Registax, images shot in multiple frame HQ mode.
