FTP Instructions
- Step 1:email webmaster with intention to upload files...username is 'observer' and password is 'mars' (lowercase)
- Step 2:If you do not already have one installed download and install an FTP client from the list below
- Step 3:Setup spacealberta server access as below
- Step 4:Save image as a JPG or JPEG file
- Step 5:Create a text file (.txt) describing instrument with magnification and filters for drawings or camera setup,
location, date & time of observation, and seeing conditions
- Step 6:Name both files with initial and date in day month year...ex/John Doe Aug 5 2005 = jd050805.jpg and jd050805.txt
- Step 7:Upload with FTP client
- For subsequent uploads...follow steps 4 through 7
FTP Setup:
profile name is whatever you want
host name is spacealberta.com
host type is automatic detect
username is 'observer.spacealberta.com' and password 'mars'

remote site folder is /public/upload

remote port is 21
check passive transfers

If you don't want to bother with ftp, then email the image as a graphic (jpg) with descriptive text to
'postmaster@spacealberta.com'
Manually type the address...'postmaster at(@) spacealberta dot(.) com' to Email Webmaster
