Shrouded and covered scopes stayed that way except for some solar observing, but a lot of socializing and visiting made it enjoyable despite the weather. Saturday was a slight improvement over Friday and skies were clear until after 3 am.


Friday evening involved not star gazing but sky watching with a severe thunderstorm, lightning striking within 100 yards of the site, high winds, rain and hail.

Saturday morning sun through 2 levels of cloud, only AR 805 is visible,
